World Athletics Road Running Championships - Copenhagen, Denmark - September 19-20, 2026
The World Athletics Road Running Championships will be held in Copenhagen, DEN, on September 19 and 20, 2026. The events contested will be the road mile and the 5K on the 19th, while the half-marathon will be run on the 20th. Canada will send a team of 2 men and 2 women for the mile and 5K, while 4 men and 4 women will represent Canada in the half-marathon.
Canadian 5K Championships - Montreal, QC - October 10, 2026
The Sports Experts 5K will once again host the Canadian 5K Championships in 2026. The race will be held on October 10, 2026, which is 3 weeks later than in 2025. $10,000 will be available for the top 5 female and male Canadian runners. Bonuses of $1,000 are also available for breaking the Quebec or Canadian 5K record.
Marathon Beneva de Montreal - Montreal, QC - October 11, 2026
Following the Canadian 5K Championships, Montreal will host the Marathon Beneva de Montréal. Elite runners will have the opportunity to race for over $20,000 in prize money.
Canadian Marathon Championships - Toronto, ON - October 18, 2026
The TSC Toronto Waterfront Marathon will host the 2026 Canadian Marathon Championships in Toronto on October 18, 2026. The race will distribute $30,000 to the top Canadian winners on top of their potential winning overall. The following prizes will be awarded to the top Canadians:
Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope Mizuno Elite 5K - Hamilton, ON - October 31, 2026
The 18th and last race of the Athletics Canada Road Race Label Series will be the Mizuno Elite 5K in Hamilton, ON, on Halloween Day. A cash purse of $10,000 will be available for top runners.
